As athletic performers, it’s important to build a framework of intentional nutrition around our training schedules to support the ebbs and flows of dance seasons of varying intensities and to nurture our bodies’ requirements on a cellular level
We aim to get dancers to embrace their bodies, with the understanding that we all have a unique genetic blueprint, and focus on optimising strength and resilience by applying strategic training and nutrition principles to build a strong resilient body.
It is important for dancers to work on building a positive body image and relationship with food as not only fuel for physical development and performance but also as a foundation for mental and emotional health.
Nutrition can offer dancers a powerhouse of tools to enhance stamina, strength and energy to fuel their performances as well as their recovery and, ultimately increasing the quality and longevity of their careers as athletes.
